Vila Autódromo est le nom donné au bidonville de Rio de Janeiro (Brésil) où habite Naomy, une jeune fille de 12 ans. Elle est témoin des efforts illégaux et cynique des autorités brésiliennes de déloger sa communauté (qui refuse) afin de laisser place au Parc Olympique devant ouvrir en 2016.

Home for 12-year-old Naomy is the so-called slum area of Rio’s Vila Autódromo, where everything she loves is being ripped apart to make way for the 2016 Olympic Park. Naomy’s wide eyes take in everything, from the cynical, illegal eviction efforts of the Brazilian authorities to her her community’s refusal to go quietly. As the young girl comes of age, in a struggle too familiar to South Africans, Naomy musters the strength of her father, swearing to fight to the end.
