Après de longues années passées en France, loin de son pays, Nadia retourne au Maroc. Son père est mourant. Son frère et sa sœur sont décidés à vendre la maison. Pour Nadia, le monde s’écroule. Le jour de l’enterrement, elle rencontre Kirana, femme très religieuse, qui l’initie aux chants sacrés. Nadia entrevoit une issue à sa détresse, d’autant plus qu’elle découvre l’amour partagé.
Cette quête spirituelle lui permettra de résoudre les contradictions entre tradition et modernité.

After long years spent in France, far away from her country, Nadia comes back to Morocco.
Her father is dying. Her brother and sister want to sell the family house. For Nadia the world seems to be falling apart. The day of the funeral she meets Kirana, a very religious woman who initiates her to the sacred chants.
Nadia seems to see a way out of her misery, reinforced by her discovery of corresponded love.

Moroccan society is torn between two cultures. The Muslim culture, deeply rooted in the daily life, but misunderstood by the new generation and another one, gained through the country’s close bond with the West. Authenticity or openness? To the director, the key to this issue is in Islam, an tolerant one, based on love and benefaction.
