Dans la région des marais au sud de l’Irak, coupé des évènements qui ravagent son pays, Zaman vit avec sa femme dans une hutte de roseaux. Pour trouver un médicament devenu rare du fait de l’embargo, Zaman remonte le Tigre jusqu’à Bagdad dans sa petite embarcation. Au fil de l’eau, les rives du fleuve lui dévoilent leur beauté et leurs désillusions.
Un film d’une vraie plénitude, tant politique que poétique.
