Abritant jadis un couvent juché sur la majestueuse colline de Carthage, les vieux murs d'un lycée deviennent la scène d'une intrigue complexe qui commence par un épisode ordinaire lors d'un examen de pensée islamique. Grâce à une narration et une photographie particulières, cet incident d'apparence banale ne tarde pas à absorber le spectateur dans un débat intérieur aux implications cathartiques. Les notions de Coupable et d'Innocent, de Justice et d'Injustice, de Faute et de Rédemption sont toutes enchevêtrées dans la trame narrative du Pouvoir, de la Piété et du Désir. Indéniablement, le dénouement nous laisse avec la question implacable : Sommes-nous tous des tricheurs ?
