A la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, en France. Louise, jeune femme dont le mari est encore retenu prisonnier en Allemagne, s’éprend de Gary, un soldat noir américain arrivé dans son village avec son régiment. Blanche, l’adolescente de la famille a, quant à elle, vécu une autre passion dans les bras d’un soldat, un Allemand tué par les Américains. Les deux femmes devront affronter les rumeurs, les accusations et le mépris de leur communauté: Louise pour être tombée amoureuse d’un Noir, Blanche pour avoir fraternisé avec l’ennemi. D’autres incidents se produisent, impliquant de jeunes soldats américains, dont le meilleur ami de Gary, Sidney…

This is a strong and interesting story
but which is forbidden and prohibited.
This story took place during the stirrings of the Liberation in France. Louise, whose husband is a prisoner in Germany, passionately fell in love with Gary, a black GI’s. Blanche fell in love with a German soldier. Both will be hanged: the former for having loved a Black who came to liberate France and the latter for having loved a German who came to invade France.
