Eddy Kimani is a  practicing/professional actor, journalist and radio sports presenter at one of the leading radio stations in Kenya.



He has a passion for many things in life and one of them is acting which he got involved in from way back in 1990 with a role in a musical called The African Jigsaw, which was staged in Nakuru at the Cathedral Church.



In high school, Molo Academy, Eddy played a key role in both the music and drama clubs taking part and representing the school from the provincial level up to the national level in plays, choral verses, solo verses and traditional dances.



After high school Eddy still pursued his love for acting and knocked on the doors of Phoenix Players Theater where the Late James Falkland gladly welcomed him in and gave him the role of God in the play The Rise And Fall Of Man. Eddy later on featured in several musicals at the Phoenix Players theater, but work commitments at Multichoice Kenya took the better of him.



He has since featured in numerous TVcommercials including; Omo,Cadbury's Chocolate, Kodak, Lifebouy, GTV, Chloride Exide with some of them shot in Bollywood, India.



His first major role as a lead in a movie was in a Baraka Films production The Money Or The Cross which was received very well.



Eddy who is a professional tv/film trained actor,  landed a principal role as Winston Kinyangweu in an MNET produced TV drama series The Agency between 2008/9. However, the series  did not last long after internal issues came up halting the production after only 4 episodes.



He went on to feature in several high profile TV and Film production including ; Higher Learning, Noose Of Gold, Saints, Nairobi Law. Recent films include: In A Better World – Danish Film – 2011 (Golden Globe Foreign, Film Winner and 2011 Best Foreign Film Academy Award Winner) and Lost In Africa – Danish Film.
