Artiste et conservateur, Christian Hanussek a écrit de nombreux textes sur l’art et la production culturelle en Afrique. Son art combine la peinture et le film ou la vidéo. En 2005/2006 il a dirigé le projet « Meanwhile in Africa? » qui incluait des expositions, des séminaires et des discussions.

Christian Hanussek is an artist, writer and curator currently based in Berlin.
Born in 1953 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, he studied art and art-theory at « Städelschule », Frankfurt/M. and « ateliers ’63 », Haarlem, The Netherlands.
Since 1978 he exhibited his art which often combines painting and film or video and created some permanent installations.
In recent years he has published some texts on art from Africa and in 2005/6 directed his project « Meanwhile in Africa? » which included exhibitions, seminars and discussions.
