Depuis plusieurs années Marc-Aurèle Vecchione décrypte les cultures underground et enquête sur leur pénétration dans la culture de masse. Il a réalisé plusieurs documentaires et des fictions. L’exploration de l’histoire de la culture du breakdancing s’inscrit naturellement dans la continuité de son travail qui nous plonge à la fois dans la découverte d’univers artistiques ultra créatifs et dans l’histoire sociale, culturelle et politique des cultures d’après-guerre. En 2014, Il réalise la série « Bboys » sur l’histoire du breakdancing aux USA et en Europe, dont « Bboys & Bgirls AFRICA » est la saison 2.

For several years Marc-Aurèle Vecchione has been deciphering underground cultures and investigating their penetration into mass culture. He has directed several documentaries and fictions. Exploring the history of breakdancing culture is a natural extension of his work, which plunges us into the discovery of ultra-creative artistic universes and into the social, cultural and political history of post-war cultures. In 2014, he directed the series « Bboys » on the history of breakdancing in the USA and Europe, of which « Bboys & Bgirls AFRICA » is the second season.
