Jeune artiste, fort de son art et conscient d’être un novateur de la musique moderne béninoise, BMG Yari travaille depuis sa jeunesse avec détermination et optimisme.
Sa musique à la fois ouverte aux courants extérieurs et bien enracinée dans des clichés béninois, vient apporter une bouffée d’air frais à la musique béninoise...
La passion pour la musique pour BMG YARI est un héritage familial. En effet il est issu d’une famille maternelle composé de griots, son oncle (Imran) étant un des artistes les plus influents du Bénin.
Bmg yari séduit le public en 2002 dès la sortie de l’album Oya avec son groupe d’alors CDF (Constat des faits). Son second album (Bienvenue au bénin) en 2005 et le premier solo de sa carrière confirme tout le bien qu’on pensait de lui. Pratiquant avec un art consommé la musique rap d’origine traditionnelle, celui qu’on appelle au bénin le dernier Guerrier Bariba en hommage à Bio guerra, un guerrier qui combattit farouchement la colonisation s’impose dans de nombreux concerts nationaux.

Bmg Yari a fait les premières parties de Kiri kanta, d’Alpha Blondy le 1er janvier 2003 avec son groupe, et a eu la chance de rencontrer le grand Toumani Diabaté… Son penchant pour la musique rap d’origine traditionnelle lui vaut la bénédiction de musiciens béninois parmi les plus influents, toutes tendances confondues.

Son album (Guerrier Bariba) produit par Alain AJAVON, manager de Gospel dream à Paris est une consécration. Cet opus, un mélange de rap et de sonorités traditionnelles vient consacrer Bmg yari comme l’un des artistes les plus prisés de sa génération au Bénin.

Le succès monte pour ce garçon, dont on le sent, le style de musique va certainement laisser une empreinte certaine dans l’histoire.

BMG YARI was born on 31st august in Tanguieta, the north western part of Benin. Born in a musical family made up of griots and comedians, he started singing in 1990, in the choir of St Michael church in Natitingou, in Benin. It was there that he learned how to play the piano as well as the art of singing. In 1993, he joined the Cool Star Band as a lead vocalist and quit the group a few years later due to his first for adventure and left for Cotonou, the capital of Benin.There he created a new group called CDF (Constat Des Faits) and released the first cd of his musical career OYA with the music legend KIRI KANTA in 2002...
He went to Mali in 2003 on an entertainment tour and met TOUMANI DIABATE, the famous Kora musician. His fortunate meeting with Toumani Diabate made him participate in a musical show with the great reggae musician ALPHA BLONDY, on the 1st of January 2003 at Modibo Keita stadium in Bamako, Mali...

His third cd GUERRIER BARIBA sentises the youth the need tome out off their laziness and get involved in the development process. He is deeply concerned with the social ills in Africa and the waste of human and material resources by the authorities in Africa. He wants a radical change in Africa which will lead to a system of justice, freedom, enlightenment, the eradication of poverty and disease...
BMG Yari's sound is distinctly African. His dialect is strong and his lyrics pay homage to his down-home roots. He is the hottest in the music industry of his country and has a large fan base.......
