Denis Carot

Diplômé de l’ESSEC en 1983, il a bâti et mûri son expérience de gestionnaire d’entreprises culturelles dans le théâtre. De 1984 à 1989, il est administrateur puis co-directeur du Centre Dramatique National d’Aubervilliers aux côtés d’Alfredo Arias. Nommé en 1990 administrateur du Théâtre National de la Colline il contribue, aux côtés de Jorge Lavelli, à faire de cet établissement public entièrement dédié au répertoire contemporain, un pôle majeur de la création théâtrale en France.
Il rentre ensuite dans le secteur de la production cinématographique en devenant, de 1993 à 1995 le directeur général des Productions Lazennec – production de longs métrages et distribution cinéma – avant d’assumer cette même fonction auprès de Serge Moati dans la société « Images et Cie » où il a élargi son expérience à la production de fictions télévisuelles, documentaires et de magazines culturels.
Gérant de la société, il intervient encore parfois ponctuellement comme conseil et consultant dans le secteur audiovisuel.

After getting his diploma from the French Business School ESSEC in 1983, Denis Carot strengthened his experience in cultural business management in theatre. From 1984 to 1989, he was managing director and later co-director of the Centre Dramatique National d’Aubervilliers along with Alfredo Arias. In 1990 he became managing director of the Théâtre National de la Colline. Alongside Jorge Lavelli he transformed this public establishment entirely dedicated to the production of contemporary plays, into the most thriving centre of theatrical creation in France.
In 1993 he entered the sector of cinema production as managing director of Productions Lazennec (production of feature films and cinema distribution) before becoming managing director of « Images et Cie » with Serge Moati in 1995, where he extended his experience in production of fictional TV, documentaries and cultural programmes.
As manager of ELZEVIR FILMS, Denis also works occasionally as a consultant in the audiovisual sector.
