Waleed Al Shehhi is an award-winning Emirati director, whose film credits include the acclaimed AUSHBA’S WELL (2004/short) and his documentary AHMAD SULIMAN (2006), that won the Best Documentary Award in Jordan Film Festival. He has also directed WATER GUARD (2007) and DOOR (2008) that both screened at DIFF.


He received a prize for Short Fiction Film for the film « Aushba’s Well » in « 3rd Edition 2004 » and a Special Mention for his film « Ahmed Suliman » in « 5th Edition 2006 ».
He was awarded the Special Jury Prize (Emirates) for his film « Water Guard, The » in « 6th Edition 2007 ».
He is a member of the Creative Activity Group of the UAE Writers and Literature Union, ‘Ras Al Khaimah’ and a member of the Reflective Artistic Group.
Waleed has directed many shorts and works at The Higher Colleges of Technology, Ras Al Khaimah Colleges.
