Perivi John Katjavivi

Réalisateur, scénariste et producteur namibien.
Il a étudié au Columbia College Hollywood, à Los Angeles où il a obtenu sa Licence de Cinema, spécialité Réalisation. Il a créé Old Location Films, une société dédiée à développer des histoires africaines pour viser un large public international. Ses films ont remporté plusieurs prix et ont été projetés à Cannes, Durban, Luxor et ailleurs. Il termine un Master à l’Université de Cape Town, en Afrique du Sud, avec le projet d’enseigner et d’être chercheur. Il a réalisé The Unseen, son premier long métrage fiction avec Antonio Lyons (Hotel Rwanda, American History X), Senga Brockerhoff et Mathew Ishitile dans les rôles titres.

He founded Old Location Films, a company committed to developing African stories with global appeal. His films have won awards and screened at Cannes, Durban, Luxor and elsewhere. He is currently enrolled at the University of Cape Town, where he is studying towards an M.A. in African Cinema with the view to teaching and scholarly work. His first feature length film The Unseen stars Antonio Lyons (Hotel Rwanda, American History X), Senga Brockerhoff and Mathew Ishitile.
