Alberto Venzago est réalisateur, directeur de la photo et producteur.

Il a collaboré avec Wim Wenders en signant la lumière de son court métrage Invisibles (2007), tourné au Congo ainsi que Chacun son cinéma ou Ce petit coup au coeur quand la lumière s’éteint et que le film commence (2007) (segment’War in Peace’, réalisé par Wim Wenders).
Le célèbre cinéaste, qui est aussi producteur, a produit le long métrage d’Alberto Venzago Voodoo (Mounted by the Gods) (2003).

Photo-journalist Alberto Venzago, 59, has shot magazine stories about everything from wars in Northern Cambodia and Beirut to the stripped rainforests of Borneo. He has published several books dealing with such subjects as the revolution in Cambodia, child prostitution in the Phillippines and organized crime in Japan.
Venzago spent years with the Magnum Agency and is the winner of many prestigious awards, including the Robert Capa ICP Award. His pictures have appeared in magazines such as Life, Time, National Geographic, Stern, The Independent Magazine, Geo and the Sunday Times Magazine.

As a film maker, Venzago has won several national and international awards, including the New York Film Festival Award in gold for the anti-racism campaign of the Swiss Confederation, as well as the New York Film Festival Award in silver for his Tibet campaign.

In the film « Mounted by the Gods » (2003) and also in the photo book of the same name he has found adequate aesthetics and tells the story in expressive Black and White. The book won the German photo book prize in 2004.

He has done camera work for different directors: « Trip to Asia » (2007), a road movie across Asia with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra (premiere Berlinale in 2007), also for Wim Wenders Dok-film in the Congo (The Invisibles, premiered at the Berlinale in 2008) and direction and camera for his documentary ?My brother the conductor ». Camera work for « HUNTING TIME (with green peace in the antarctic) (public price Dokfilmfestival in 2009 Munich) and « Going against Fate » (2009)
