Ivan Dixon's 1973 cult classic THE SPOOK WHO SAT BY THE DOOR has been called "the most radical of the blaxploitation films of the'70s" (Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader). Set in Chicago and based on the controversial novel by Chicagoan Sam Greenlee, it tells of an African American CIA employee who uses his guerrilla training to organize a black revolution.
