John Peffer

John Peffer est professeur associé en histoire de l’art à Ramapo College (New Jersey). Il est l’auteur de Art and the End of Apartheid (Minnesota, 2009) et le coéditeur (avec Elisabeth Cameron) de Portrait Photography in Africa (Indiana, à paraître en 2013). Il mène actuellement une recherche sur l’histoire de la couleur dans la photographie en Afrique du Sud.

John Peffer is Associate Professor of Art History at Ramapo College. He is the author of Art and the End of Apartheid (University of Minnesota Press, 2009) and co-Editor (with Elisabeth Cameron) of Portraiture and Photography in Africa (Indiana University Press, 2013). His current research concerns the history of photography, color, and vernacular reception in South Africa.
