Derica Shields est une rédactrice à Okayafrica où elle écrit sur les arts et la culture. Née à Londres, elle a vécu à Salvador da Bahia, Cambridge et Ithaca. Elle s'est installée récemment à Brooklyn suite à ses études en Cinéma, Politique et Littérature africaine.
