Mumbi Maina

Acteur/trice
Kenya

English

Her first major role was when she played ‘Riziki’ in Unseen, Unsung, Unforgotten. Riziki is an eccentric, bubbly, spoilt girl used to getting her way in everything. She ends up stuck in a rut, so to speak, as the story unfolds. A role she describes as very exciting.

Mumbi also stars on the NTV soap-opera Mali. She plays Lulu’s (Brenda Wairimu) mean older half-sister hell-bent on having it all at the expense of anyone who gets in her way. Her strongest appeal on the show is her sex appeal (something about mean girls).

She has been nominated three times for the Kalasha Awards, she regards it as a very humbling honour to have been nominated at such an early age in her my acting career.

Other than being an actress, she is also a production coordinator. She describes herself as an introvert with extrovert tendencies once in a while. Her hobbies include swimming, reading, styling, dancing, yoga and golf.
