Emeka Ogboh se connecte aux lieux avec ses sens de l’ouïe et du goût.

À travers ses installations audio et ses œuvres gastronomiques, Emeka Ogboh explore comment le privé, le public, le collectif les souvenirs et les histoires sont traduits, transformés et encodés en son et en nourriture. Ces œuvres contemplent comment le son et la nourriture captent les relations existentielles, encadrent notre compréhension du monde et fournir un contexte dans lequel poser des questions critiques sur l’immigration, la mondialisation et le post-colonialisme.

Emeka Ogboh a participé à de nombreuses expositions internationales dont la 56e édition de La Biennale di Venzeia, Italie (2015); documenta 14 (2017), Athènes et Kassel, et Skulptur Projekte Münster (2017).

Emeka Ogboh est également co-fondateur du Video Art Network Lagos, et en 2016, Ogboh a reçu le prix du Bottcherstra ße à Brême.

Nigerian Visual Artist and Film director.

Born in 1977 in Enugu, Nigeria. He lives and works in Berlin, Germany. He uses mainly Installation / Sound installation.

Emeka Ogboh connects to places with his senses of hearing and taste.

Through his audio installations and gastronomic works, Ogboh explores how private, public, collective memories and histories are translated, tansformed and encoded into sound and food. These works contemplate how sound and food capture existential relationships, frame our understanding of the world and provide a context in which to ask critical questions on immigration, globalization, and post-colonialism.

Emeka Ogboh has participated in numerous international exhibitions including the 56th edition of La Biennale di Venzeia, Italiy (2015); documenta 14 (2017), Athens and Kassel, and Skulptur Projekte Münster (2017).

Emeka Ogboh is also co-founder of the Video Art Network Lagos, and in 2016 Ogboh was awarded Prize of the Bottcherstraße in Bremen.
