Sephora Woldu est une artiste visuelle et une réalisatrice érythréenne américaine basée à San Francisco.Life is Fare est le troisième film et le premier long métrage de Sephora. Son premier court-métrage, Impresa !, a fait ses débuts au San Francisco Black Film Festival 2013 et a depuis été récompensé dans des festivals tels que les Independent Film Awards Berlin, le Festival international du film noir de Montréal et le Silicon Valley African Film Festival. Son deuxième court métrage, Exit, a été réalisé à Louxor, en Égypte, en tant que cinéaste sélectionnée pour l'atelier de production de films alternatifs Haile Gerima 2014, un programme cinématographique créé en partenariat avec le Festival du film africain de Louxor.
Sephora a obtenu des financements pour son travail auprès de la San Francisco Arts Commission, de la SF Film Commission, du Yerba Buena Center of the Arts et du Wildflower Institute. En 2013, elle a fondé Abyssurdian Productions LLC, un studio de création d'où sortent tous ses films et projets. En outre, Sephora poursuit actuellement un master en architecture au California College of the Arts et travaille au cabinet de design IDEO parce qu'entre autres choses, elle est pleine de surprises.

Sephora Woldu is an Eritrean American visual artist and filmmaker based in San Francisco, and Life is Fare is Sephora's third film and first feature. Her debut short film, Impresa!, debuted at the 2013 San Francisco Black Film Festival and has since received awards at festivals including the Independent Film Awards Berlin, Montreal International Black Film Festival, and the Silicon Valley African Film Festival. Her second short film, Exit, was made in Luxor, Egypt as a select filmmaker for the 2014 Haile Gerima Alternative Film Production Workshop, a film program created in partnership with the Luxor African Film Festival.
