Gabrielle Tesfaye

Gabrielle Tesfaye est une artiste interdisciplinaire versée dans la peinture, l'animation et l'installation interactive. Gabrielle Tesfaye a grandi aux États-Unis en tant que membre de la première génération, d'un père éthiopien et d'une mère jamaïcaine. Sa recherche est ancrée dans la diaspora africaine, les anciennes pratiques de marionnettes et les contes culturels. Tesfaye a obtenu un BFA en peinture et animation à la Peck School of the Arts et un MFA en design au VCU Arts Qatar.

Gabrielle Tesfaye is an interdisciplinary artist versed in painting, animation, and interactive installation. Tesfaye is raised in the US as a first-generation, to an Ethiopian father and Jamaican mother. Her research is rooted in the African diaspora, ancient puppetry practices and cultural storytelling. Tesfaye obtained her BFA in Painting and Animation and Peck School of the Arts and MFA in Design at VCU Arts Qatar.
