English

The author of thrillers such as « Les Traffiqueurs » and « Paradis B », Lucio adopted his pen name in tribute to the maestro of Italian giallo pictures, Lucio Fulci. A seasoned African voyager who directed adaptations of works by African authors for the stage (Kaidare by Hampaté Ba and « Consulat Zénéral » by Aminata Zaaria), Lucio Mad always dreamed, whatever the medium, of a total spectacle allying hair-raising entertainment with profound reflection on the state of the world. Sadly, he died before the completion of « Black », carried away by cancer in august, 2005.
