Rasna Warah

Rasna Warah est une auteure et photojournaliste kényane. Elle écrit une chronique hebdomadaire pour le Daily Nation, le plus grand journal du Kenya, et est l'auteure de deux livres : Triple Heritage: A Journey to Self-discovery (1998) et Red Soil and Roasted Maize: Selected essays and articles on contemporary Kenya (2011). Elle a aussi compilé (dirigé ?) une anthologie intitulée Missionaries, Mercenaries and Misfits (2008) qui critique l'industrie humanitaire en Afrique orientale. Mme Warah a travaillé comme rédactrice et auteure pour les Nations Unies pendant plus de dix ans et a écrit sur des questions urbaines pendant plus de deux décennies. Ses essais photographiques sur Nairobi, Mumbai, Kaboul, La Havane et Mogadiscio ont été publiés, entre autres, dans East African, UN Chronicle, People and the Planet, Cityscapes, ainsi que dans la série de rapports UN-HABITAT's State of the World's Cities.

Ms Warah has worked as an editor and writer for the United Nations for more than ten years and has been writing about urban issues for more than two decades. Her photo essays on Nairobi, Mumbai, Kabul, Havana and Mogadishu have been published in, among other publications, the East African, UN Chronicle, People and the Planet, Cityscapes and UN-HABITAT's State of the World's Cities report series.
