THINKFilm est une société de production et de distribution privée créée en septembre 2001.
En 2006, THINKFilm a été racheté par le producteur (et financeur de films) David Bergstein, qui en est désormais le président.
En quelques années THINKFilm a eu sept nominations aux Oscars avec notamment Ryan Gosling nominé comme Meilleur Acteur en 2006 pour HALF NELSON, et raflé l’Oscar du Meilleur Documentaire avec BORN INTO BROTHELS en 2005. THINKFilm a reçu récemment deux nominations aux Oscar cette année pour le Meilleur Long Métrage Documentaire pour TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE ainsi que WAR/DANCE.
