The Allied Film Company
The Allied Film Company was formally registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission in 2006.
Several different people in the many varied aspects of the media industry conceived the Allied Film Company, as it existed at the end of the 1980’s. Exposure then to the recent technology of video in VHS and Betamax had energized the dreams and desires of a number of young teenagers who would later in their lives found what is now widely regarded as one of the premier media production company in Nigeria.
The primary motive for the formation of the company evolved from the paucity of indigenous concerns in the area of media production, which at the time depended on service and support from foreign partners and agencies.
Working from disparate but related spheres of production and in various capacities, competence and track record rather than fate brought together as far back as the year 2000 the masthead of the company who then sponsored a seminar and founding summit of filmmakers christened the Lagos Film Society.
Owing to the tremendous success of the aforementioned summit and as a result of the aggressive networking arrangements pursued the company was formed as a loose team of professionals yet operating from individual firms and organizations. After a number of collaborations it was clear that the team operated optimally as a synchronized unit and the need for a delineation of business structure emerged.
‘Allied’ as the establishment is commonly referred to provides media and multi – media services including but not limited to creative conceptualization, production, coverage, post production editing of media material in Celluloid (Film), Video, Animation, Still photography, Radio, Sound, Sound stage (Studio) Music: (Production, Arrangement), Web design & development, Event management and all other sub-genres.
Allied Film Company recently produced The Chat Room With Samil Asha, a brand new TV Talkshow that provides a platform where we celebrate the works, achievements and lifestyle of headliners, celebrities and other outstanding citizens of this great nation.
