Kwa Mashu African Film Festival is an annual event which focuses on screening free « Unique African Films ». This free film screening event is hosted by the Ekhaya Multi Arts Centre, founded by its Director Edmund Mhlongo in the township of Kwa Mashu, Durban. This event has hosted many African and international film productions, producers, film stars and film directors with a purpose of empowering the people in the townships and promoting the positive image this fornmerly notorious township
