La sixième édition du Festival SÃO TOMÉ FILM a lieu du 23 au 26 Octobre 2024. Cette année le festival de cinéma présente une Compétition Internationale, un Compétition Africaine ainsi qu’une Compétition de Courts-Métrages santoméens.

Founded in 2014, SÃO TOMÉ FESTFILM is promoted by ASSECOM-CA
São Tomé FestFilm – São Tomé and Príncipe International Film Festival, created and promoted by ASSECOM (São Tomé Association of Multimedia Entertainment and Communication – Cultural and Artistic), founded by a group of São Tomé and Portuguese students in 2014.
The Festival was created with the objective of developing and promoting projects in the areas of cinema, television, video and multimedia, by offering educational activities such as workshops and conferences in the aforementioned areas, and also by placing São Tomé and Príncipe on the route of Cinema Internacional, seeking to make it a meeting point for all those who enjoy cinema. The festival wants to awaken young people’s interest in free creation, valuing the historical and cultural origins of São Tomé and Príncipe through cinema, as well as the Portuguese language.
SÃO TOMÉ FESFILM offers the general public a wide range of independent production films, bringing quality cinema and cinematographies little known in the traditional market.
In addition to the local audience, the festival’s mission is to attract filmmakers from all over the world to the archipelago, as well as tourists who visit this small archipelago.
