Jackie Nickerson is an Anglo/American, born in Boston, USA and bought up in England. After finishing her education she returned to the USA to assist fashion and still life photographers in New York City for 5 years before embarking on her own career in Milan.
Jackie Nickerson has worked in Paris, New York, Milan,Tokyo and London and has traveled extensively both for work and pleasure. She is a successful commercial and magazine
photographer concentrating on portraiture and fashion.
Her clients include Elle, Marie Claire,Wallpaper, German Vogue,Arena, Interview Magazine, Armani, Ferre, L’Oreal, Mercedes Benz, De Beers,Wella,Trussardi, Sony, Aquascutum, Burberry and Shiseido.
In September 2002 Jonathan Cape will publish ‘FARM’, a book of portraits by Jackie Nickerson, of agricultural workers taken all over Southern Africa. It is published in the
United Kingdom, France and Germany and will be distributed worldwide. It will be accompanied by a show at Galerie 213 in Paris, curated by Marion De Baupre.
Works in progress include projects in the Middle East, Ireland and China.
