The heart of the festival is to provide an opportunity for professional actors to meet and make voices heard in seminars, debates, workshops, concerts and clubs.
Our focus is the development of East African music industry.
The Swedish East African Music Network (SEAMN) is a project supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and initiated and led by Selam since 2004.
The project aims to strengthen the infrastructure within the music sector in East Africa (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia) through capacity building and networking activities.
Selam is a music organisation based in Stockholm and Addis Ababa. We arrange and promote festivals, concerts, club nights and forums, presenting a mosaic of global sounds. More information about Selam and this event can be found on our website, www.selam.se
