C’est l’histoire de Charlie, un accro de « tik » flemmard (le tik est le nom donné en Afrique du Sud à la méthamphétamine, qui est devenu un véritable fléau dans le pays) flemmard. Charlie et ses deux fainéants de copains parcourent les bidonvilles et HLMs de Hout Bay, leur ville natale, à la recherche de quoi se shooter. Elton, l’honorable et respectable frère de Charlie a disparu. C’est seulement après avoir eu vent de la piste « toxicomane » de son frère, que Charlie rejoint les pièces du puzzle qui le mènent à la vérité quant à où son frère est vraiment, ainsi qu’au fait que la famille est ce qu’il y a de plus important.

Anna : Hé, Charlie, il est où ton frère ?
Charlie : Je suis sensé savoir comment moi ?
Anna : Parce que je cherche mon fric. Il essaie toujours de dealer ?
Charlie : Chais pas, c’est ses affaires.
Anna : Tu t’es vu ? T’es défoncé ?
Charlie : Et alors ?
Anna : Tu traines toujours avec ce Pirre ? il est aussi vieux que ton père et c’est un drogué. Qu’est-ce qui va pas chez toi, cest quoi ton problème ?
Charlie : C’est pas ton business.
Anna : Oh, alors maintenant c’est pas mon business. Ok. Viens Angelo.
Charlie : T’es pas ma mère.

The story is about Charlie, a tik-using (methamphetamine) slacker. Charlie along with his two slacker friends journey through the impoverished shacks and the council flats of Hout Bay, in search of their next hit. Elton, Charlie’s honorable and respectable brother is missing. Only after hearing about his brother’s drug trail, does Charlie pieces together the puzzle that leads him to the truth of Elton’s whereabouts and that family is important.

Charlie: Dunno, that’s he’s business.

Anna: Are you still hanging with that Pirre. He’s old enough to be your father and he’s a druggie. What’s wrong with you, what’s your problem?
Charlie: It’s none of your business.
