Le passé est toujours présent dans la vie de Lyiza qui doit vivre avec le souvenir traumatisant de l’assassinat de ses parents, pendant le génocide au Rwanda. Quand elle reconnaît dans le père de son camarade de classe, la personne responsable de leur mort, se crée une grande tension. L’harmonie retourne grâce à l’intervention d’un enseignant qui prend les jeunes au musée du génocide, le lieu de mémoire, et guide Lyiza vers le pardon.

The past is always present in the life of Lyiza who has to live with the traumatic memory of her parents’ murder, during the genocide in Rwanda. When she recognizes in the father of her classmate, the person responsible for their murder, a great tension started. The harmony returns through the intervention of a teacher who takes the youngsters to the museum of the genocide, the place of memory, and guides Lyiza towards forgiveness.

الماضي دائم الحضور في حياة لييزا التي عليها أن تعيش على ذكرى اغتيال أبويها أثناء الإبادة الجماعيّة في رواندا. وقد ولّد لديها علمها بمسؤوليّة والد زميلتها في الدراسة عن موتهم توتّرا شديدا. ولكن بفضل جهود مدرّس كان يصحبها والصغار إلى متحف الإبادة والى معلم إحياء ذكراها هدأت نفس لييزا ومالت إلى العفو
