Nasreddine Dinet est un documentaire algérien de Rabah Laradji produit par l'ONCIC sorti en 1977.



Étienne Dinet (إتيان دينيه), né le 28 mars 1861 à Paris, ville où il est mort le 24 décembre 1929, est un peintre et lithographe français. Il est l'un des principaux représentants de la peinture orientaliste au tournant des XIXe et XXe siècles.



Obtenant une bourse en 1884, Dinet entreprend son premier voyage dans le sud de l'Algérie dans la région de Bou-Saâda, la culture Naili le marque profondément puisqu'il y retournera de nombreuses fois jusqu'à son installation dans son premier atelier algérien à Biskra en 1900. En 1905, il achète une maison à Bou-Saâda pour y passer les trois-quarts de l'année. En 1907, sur ses conseils, est créée à Alger la villa Abd-el-Tif, sur le modèle de la villa Médicis à Rome.



Ayant vécu une grande partie de sa vie en Algérie, il se fait appeler Nasreddine Dinet (نصر الدين ديني) après s'être converti à l'islam. Le 12 janvier 1930, il est inhumé au cimetière de Bou-Saâda, où un musée qui regroupe nombreuses des ses œuvres, porte son nom.

Étienne Dinet (إتيان دينيه), born March 28, 1861 in Paris, where he died on December 24, 1929, was a French painter and lithographer. He was one of the leading representatives of Orientalist painting at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.



Awarded a scholarship in 1884, Dinet undertook his first trip to southern Algeria, to the Bou-Saâda region. The Naili culture had a profound impact on him, and he would return there many times until he settled in his first Algerian studio in Biskra in 1900. In 1905, he bought a house in Bou-Saâda, where he spent three-quarters of the year. In 1907, on his advice, the Villa Abd-el-Tif was built in Algiers, modeled on the Villa Medici in Rome.



Having lived much of his life in Algeria, he adopted the name Nasreddine Dinet (نصر الدين ديني) after converting to Islam. On January 12, 1930, he was buried in the Bou-Saâda cemetery, where a museum housing many of his works bears his name.
