Le film raconte le voyage de Wilson, un jeune fugitif béninois à Paris. Mais Paris reste seulement comme imagination, une expérience conçue mais embellie qu’il décrit dans sa lettre à ses parents. Dans la rue, il rencontre une femme. Elle écrit pour lui une lettre à ses parents restés au Bénin. La lettre raconte la belle vie qu’il a maintenant à Paris…
La réalité effroyable reflète cet antagonisme…
