Patricia Duflot est née en 1968 à Paris. Linguiste de formation, elle a exercé les métiers d’enseignante et animatrice socioculturelle en région parisienne. Elle est l’auteur de nombreux recueils ( poèmes, nouvelles, proses… ), et de deux romans. Son dernier ouvrage » JIZZY, une histoire de jazz en Amérique » retrace imaginairement la vie du chanteur noir américain Jimmy Scott. Patricia Duflot y explore en filigrane l’héritage culturel de l’Afrique, précieux pivot de l’identité noire américaine. Adapter le point de vue d’un citoyen afro américain vivant la ségrégation au quotidien, tel a été son cap d’écriture.
Depuis quinze ans, Patricia Duflot vit dans l’Hérault et travaille en tant que rédactrice, attachée de presse au sein d’une structure, CULTURE JAZZ, organisatrice de concerts et spectacles jazz. Dans un monde essentiellement blanc et occidental, ses choix esthétiques et modes de communication mettent l’accent sur la » base » noire, africaine, de la musique jazz, qu’elle soit » blanche » ou noire américaine.
L’auteur a également adapté son propre roman éponyme, lors d’une création » JIZZY, une histoire de jazz en Amérique « . Ce spectacle musical, mêlant texte et jazz, a accueilli la chanteuse d’origine malgache Rachel Ratsizafy, ainsi que le batteur Séga Seck, originaire de St Louis du Sénégal.
Avec également : la comédienne Eglantine Jouve à la voix, Serge Casero au saxophone et Cédric Chauveau au piano.

Duflot Patricia was born in 1968 in Paris. A linguist by training, she served as a teacher and facilitator sociocultural business in Paris. She is the author of numerous books (poems, short stories, prose …), and two novels. His latest book « Jizzy, a history of jazz in America » traces, imaginary, the life of the black American singer Jimmy Scott. Patricia Duflot explores the implicit cultural heritage of Africa, valuable hub of African-American identity. Adapting the point of view of an African American citizen living segregation daily, as was his course of writing.
