Gerard McSorley was born in Omagh, Co Tyrone and has been acting in theatre and film in Ireland for the last 33 years. Mainly a theatre actor he began his movie career when Jim Sheridan cast him in « In the Name of the Father ». Over the next ten years he appeared in about 30 movies culminating in the multi-award winning « Omagh ».
