Fabian Astore, artiste numérique et réalisateur, est né à Sydney(Australie) en 1964. Son travail a été exposé dans de nombreux festivals nationaux et internationaux, parmi lesquels le Festival du Film de Sydney en 2004, le Festival de Vidéo International de Berlin, Le Festival de Vidéo International de Cadix, l’Exground Filmfest de Wiesbaden, le Fluxusonline en 2006 et le Festival du Film d’Adelaide en 2007 en Australie.
Il a aussi réalisé des animations virtuelles pour de grandes productions théâtrales tels que : Jake and Pete qui a été joué au Sydney Theatre Company et au Winnipeg Festival, Mad Bad and Spooky au Sydney Festival en 2001, Stella and the Moon Man au Sydney Theatre qui a remporté en 2006 le prix Helpman pour la meilleure production jeunesse. En 2007, il a produit une animation pour une collaboration australo-japonaise avec la compagnie théâtrale de Kageboushi, Japon. En 2006, il a été professeur invité au département de Media, Film, Theatre and Dance à l’université de New South Wales en Australie, où il dirige actuellement des cours de travaux pratiques.

Fabian Astore (Australia) is a digital-media artist and filmmaker. His work has been exhibited in numerous festivals, including the 2004 Sydney Film Festival, the Berlin International Video Festival, the Cadiz International Video Festival, Fluxusonline 2006 and the 2007 Adelaide Film Festival. He also does digital animation for such large-scale theater productions as Jake and Pete, which played at the Sydney Theatre Company and the Winnipeg Festival, and Stella and the Moon Man, which won the 2006 Helpman Award for Best Children’s Presentation. In 2007, he produced an animation for an Australia-Japan collaboration with the Kageboushi Theatre Company, Japan. In the second half of 2006 he was a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Media, Film, Theatre and Dance at the University of NSW and is currently a sessional lecturer there.

Fabien Astore hat virtuelle Animationen für große Theaterproduktionen realisiert, so für Jake and Pete das in der Sydney Theatre Company und auf dem Winnipeg Festival zu sehen war, Mad Bad and Spooky für das Sydney Festival 2001, Stella and the Moon Man für das Sydney Theatre, welches 2006 den Preis Helpman für die beste Jugendproduktion gewann. 2007 produzierte Fabian Astore mit dem Theaterensemble Kageboushi eine Animation für eine australisch-japanische Koproduktion. 2006 war er Gastprofessor an der Fakultät für Medien, Film, Theater und Tanz an der Universität von New South Wales in Australien, wo er momentan einen weiteren Lehrauftrag hat.
