Biographie officielle
RÉGINE ABADIA exerce en parallèle ses activités de réalisatrice, scénariste et photographe. Elle a réalisé son premier court-métrage en 85 (PREMIER OUTRAGE, prix Canal Plus au festival de Villeurbanne). Elle a réalisé ensuite plusieurs courts-métrages et moyens-métrages de fiction tous primés dans des festivals dont LES BÊTES qui a obtenu le Grand Prix du festival de science fiction et de l’imaginaire de Roanne en 1993. Depuis une dizaine d’années, elle réalise des documentaires (dont YASMINA & MOHAMMED, 2012 – JENNY BEL’AIR, 2007 – LA TÊTE À L’ENVERS, 2005, ARTE – POURQUOI MARCHER QUAND ON PEUT ROULER ? 2003, ARTE – DALIDA, CHEZ NOUS SOYEZ REINE, 2002, FRANCE 2 – PIGALLE NUIT ET JOUR, 2000, ARTE – THE SPIRIT OF GOSPEL, 1998, ARTE)… Elle prépare un long-métrage UNE ÉTRANGE ATTRACTION produit par Metaluna Productions. Elle est aussi scénariste : PASHIN BEKA WINONI de Jan Kounen, 2007 – LES MILLE MERVEILLES DE L’UNIVERS de Jean-Michel Roux, 1997 – QUMRÂN, un thriller ésotérique produit par Légende et qui sera réalisé par Jan Kounen. Elle a travaillé comme photographe de plateau sur COCO CHANEL & IGOR STRAVINSKY de Jan Kounen produit par Claudie Ossard et Chris Bolzi (Eurowide).


Régine ABADIA a réalisé son premier court-métrage « Premier outrage » en 1985. Elle a réalisé ensuite plusieurs courts-métrages et moyens-métrages de fiction parmi lesquels « Les bêtes ». Depuis une quinzaine d’années, elle réalise des documentaires, dont les derniers sont « Yasmina & Mohammed », « Jenny Bel’Air », « La tête à l’envers » et « Pourquoi marcher quand on peut rouler ? ». Elle est également photographe.

Official Biography
Régine Abadia combines her activities as director, script writer and photographer. Her first short length film, PREMIER OUTRAGE (1985) won the Canal Plus Prize at the Villeurbane Festival. She also directed several short and medium length features which were all awarded prizes in various festivals. Among them : THE CREATURES(Grand prix du festival de science fiction et de l’imaginaire, Roanne, 1993. These last ten years she has made several documentaries : YASMINA & MOHAMMED (2012); JENNY BEL’AIR (2007) ; LA TETE A L’ENVERS (2005, ARTE) ; WHY WALK WHEN WE CAN ROLL? (2003, ARTE) ; DALIDA, CHEZ NOUS SOYEZ REINE (2002, FRANCE 2) ; PIGALLE NIGHT AND DAY (2000, ARTE) ; THE SPIRIT OF GOSPEL (1998, ARTE). She has a feature film in preparation : A STRANGE ATTRACTION (produced by Metaluna Productions). She wrote the scripts of PASHIN BEKA WINONI (dir. Jan Kounen, 2007), LES MILLE MERVEILLES DE L’UNIVERS (dir. Jean Michel Roux, 1997), QUMRAN (An esoteric Thriller, produced by Légende, to be shot by Ian Kounen in 2010). She worked as a still photographer on COCO CHANEL & IGOR STRAVINSKY (dir. Jan Kounen, prod. Claude Ossard and Chris Bolzi at Eurowide).
