Werner Schroeter

Werner Schroeter est né à Thuringia (Allemagne) et a étudié la psychologie à l’Université de Mannheim. Il a travaillé comme journaliste freelance avant de débuter une carrière de scénariste, réalisateur, directeur de la photo, monteur et producteur. Parmi ses films en tant que réalisateur, on peut citer The Death of Maria Malibran (1972), Willow Springs (1973), The Kingdom of Naples (1978), Palermo or Wolfsburg (1980), Day of the Idiots (1981), Council of Love (1982), The Rose King (1986), Malina (1991), Deux (2002) et Nuit de Chien (Tonight) (2008).
