Nana Cissokho (nana’an’kho)

Musicien africain, originaire de Casamance, auteur compositeur, ‘Nana Cissokho’ joue de la kora et chante.
fils de Soundioulou Cissokho (roi de la kora), Nana Cissokho vit en Europe depuis 1998.
Après deux tournées en Europe avec le groupe Dougoufana, Nana s’est installé en Suisse.
Il a produit son premier CD Baralalou qui signifie: Travailleurs en 98 puis il a joué avec Keur Sénégal et différents groupes africains et européens dans tout la Suisse.
Nana a joué avec le groupe Taffetas jusqu’en 2009;ensemble produit le cd « Caméléon ». En 2009, Nana crée le groupe Nana’n’kho.Aujourd’hui, la nouvelle formation musicale qu’il présente, nana’n’kho, est avant tout une aventure musicale, fruit d’un partage cosmopolite entre musiciens complices.
La particularité et l’immense originalité du groupe nana’n’kho est de ne pas se limiter à ce genre musical mais de puiser dans l’immense diversité des types de musiques de l’Afrique de l’Ouest et d’ailleurs.
Cette kora, édifice autour duquel tourne tout le groupe, va puiser dans la musique afro portuguaise et ses mélodies lancinantes, la salsa et ses rythmes endiablés, le mbalax, musique extrêmement énergique et rythmée, et mettra au moment voulu un reggae pour transporter son auditeur tout au long du voyage.
Passant d’un style musical à un autre, Nana, auteur-compositeur-interprète, fait courir ses doigts sur les 21 cordes de sa kora et produit un son que l’on dit apparenté au chant du grillon.
