Salem Brahimi

Né en 1972 à Londres (GB). Salem Brahimi est un producteur et réalisateur franco-algérien, diplômé de l’EDHEC. Après avoir coréalisé un long métrage documentaire avec Chergui Kharoubi, intitulé « Africa is Back – The 2nd Panafrican Cultural Festival of Algiers » (Algérie / 93′ / 2010), sur le Festival Panafricain d’Alger de 2009, il réalise Abd El Kader, un long métrage documentaire sur l’Emir Abdelkader. En 2014 il réalise un long métrage de fiction : Maintenant ils peuvent venir adapté du roman éponyme d’Arezki Mellal avec qui il a écrit le scénario. Il a par ailleurs produit des long métrages de fiction et des documentaires (entre autres Mon Colonel de Laurent Herbiet en 2006, Cartouches Gauloises de Mehdi Charef en 2007, tous deux coproduits avec KG Productions, Eden à l’Ouest, de Costa-Gavras (2009) et Selves and Others d’Emmanuel Hamon.

Born in London in 1972, Salem Brahimi is a Franco-Algerian producer and director and graduate of the EDHEC. After co-producing a documentary feature film with Chergui Kharoubi, Africa is Back, about the 2009 Panafrica Festival of Algiers, he then went on to make Abd El Kader, a documentary feature film about Emir Abdelkader. In 2014 he made a fictional feature film: Maintenant ils peuvent venir, an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Arezki Mellal, with whom he wrote the script. He has also produced fictional features and documentaries (including Mon Colonel by Laurent Herbiet, Cartouches Gauloises by Mehdi Charef, both of which were co-produced with KG Productions, Selves and Others by Emmanuel Hamon).
