Anis Djaad

Réalisateur, scénariste et écrivain algérien.

Anis Djaad est né en 1974 à Alger. Ancien journaliste, il est stagiaire à la réalisation sur le film « França ya França » de Djamel Beloued. Il est l’auteur de 2 romans : « L’odeur du violon » et « Matins parisiens ». Il a écrit les scénarios de Au bout du tunnel, H3O, Les Assoiffés et Le hublot. Ce dernier remporte le prix du meilleur scénario du court métrage lors des Journées cinématographiques d’Alger 2011.

Anis Djaad was born in Algiers in 1974. In 1996 he discovered the cinema as an trainee director on the set of the film França ya França by Djamel Beloued. In 1997, he temporarily left the cinema to become a journalist for the national daily « Le Soir d’Algérie ». In 2003, he returned to the cinema through screenwriting (he was one of the winners of the script contest « L’année de l’Algérie ») and in 2006 wrote his first screenplay for a feature film, Au bout du tunnel by Adlane Khodja, short-listed by Media Film, a European programme. In 2011 he won an award for best short film script with « Le hublot » at the Algiers Film Festival. In 2012 with the screenplay of his first short film, Le hublot, he won the prize at the Journées cinématographiques de Carthage. In 2007, he published his first novel, Matins parisiens, followed by a second one, L’odeur du violon. In 2014 Passage à niveau won the Jury Prize at the Journées cinématographiques d’Alger.

Nasce nel 1974 ad Algeri. Nel 1996 lavora sul set del film França ya França di Djamel Beloued. Nel 1997 lascia temporaneamente il cinema per diventare giornalista del quotidiano nazionale Le Soir d’Algérie. Nel 2006 firma la sua prima sceneggiatura di un lungometraggio, Au bout du tunnel di Adlane Khodja. Nel 2012 con la sceneggiatura del suo primo cortometraggio, Le hublot, vince il premio alle Journées cinématographiques de Carthage. Nel 2007 pubblica il suo primo romanzo Matins parisiens, cui segue L’odeur du violon. Nel 2014 Passage à niveau vince il Premio Speciale della Giuria alle Journées cinématographiques d’Alger.
