SOL X RAY, de son vrai nom EKLU-NATEY E. Tétévi Salomon, est né le 5 décembre 1967 à Lomé.
Fils d’un pasteur musicien pianiste, auteur compositeur et maître de chant et d’une mère choriste au sein d’une église protestante il est, dès son plus jeune âge, bercé par la musique religieuse et empreint d’une philosophie relative à l’amour de son prochain que lui ont transmis ses parents.
Il fait ses études primaires et secondaires au Togo et allie très tôt études et musique, période durant laquelle il forme un premier groupe qui se spécialise dans le rock et le blues.
– Auteur compositeur, sa première prestation fut une participation à un concours de chant inter scolaire en live, en 1984, avec l’obtention d’un 1er prix pour l’une de ses propres compositions
– Il participe à plusieurs concerts inter lycéen au Palais des Congrès, au CCF, au Centre communautaire de Tokoin et au Stade Omnisports de Lomé avec le groupe « Rayons X » du lycée Gbenyédzi.
– Il obtient un 2è prix en 1987 puis un1er prix en 1988 toujours en compagnie du groupe « Rayons X » lors des concours inter scolaires de la chanson organisés par « ARTISTA 2000 » .
Suite à tous ces concerts en milieu scolaire l’artiste, Reggae Man adepte de la philosophie Rasta, commence à se produire dans les bars, les cabarets et les centres culturels, interprétant les plus grands Reggae Man et Rocker mais également son propre répertoire.
– De 94 à 95 il organise 3 concerts inter lycéen à l’ancien hôtel Hollyday d’Aneho.
Il enseigne les sciences naturelles et les mathématiques durant 6 ans sans pour autant abandonner la musique.
– En 97, il organise un concours de la chanson au Stade de Lomé.
– En 1999 il forme le groupe « Natural Vibration » avec lequel il évolue toujours à ce jour. C’est à ce moment que débute réellement sa carrière professionnelle.
– Dès 2001, il multiplie les concerts sur les différentes scènes togolaises.
En 2004 il abandonne définitivement l’enseignement pour se vouer essentiellement à sa plus grande raison de vivre qui est la musique et plus particulièrement le reggae.

-Décembre 2009 sortie de son premier album « DEVOTION » dont les clips
« 11 EPERVIERS, dédié au football togolais, et « KPODJIDJO » sont présents sur les chaînes nationales.
Ses textes, sur fond de reggae, incitent à l’éveil des consciences afin de contribuer au développement social et culturel. C’est dans cet esprit que l’artiste au large répertoire sort son 2éme album Titré Avoulété.
Depuis, quelques collaborations avec des artistes étrangers sont mises en place pour plus de visibilité à l’étranger.

SOL X-RAY, whose real name is EKLU-Natey E. Tétévi Salomon, was born on 5 December, 1967 in Lomé.
Son of a pastor musician pianist, composer and singing master and of a chorister mother in a Protestant church is from an early age, rocked by religious music and imbued with a philosophy of the love of his neighbor that he inherited from its parent.
He completed his elementary and high school in Togo and early combines studies and music, period in which he formed his first rock and blues performing band.
– His first great performance as songwriter was revealed and rewarded with the first prize for one of his own compositions, during 1984 national level singing and live performance competition involving schools and colleges.
– He actively took part to several traditional annual competitions opposing the best high schools bands at the former ‘’Palais des Congès’’, at CCF ( French Cultural Institute), in different Community Social and Cultural Centers and at the Main Lomé Tokoin Sports Center with the formidable « X Rays » band of Gbényédzi High School.
– Still with the ‘’X-Rays’’ Band, he was presented with the second prize in 1987 and First Prize in 1988 during contests annually organized by « ARTISTA 2000. »
Got ready for the fray on the benches and in the student environment, follows the period of pubs, cabarets and cultural centers gigs with more and more evidences of Rastafari Culture and Philosophy performing the greats reggae and rock stars’ repertoire and also his own songs.
– In 94 and 95 he initiated 3 live concerts with several High Schools at the former Holliday Hotel at Aného.
Meanwhile and at the same time he teached for six years Natural Science, Biology and Mathematics in several High Schools.
– In 97, he organized a song contest held at the Stadium in Lomé (Stade de Lomé Tokoin).
– In 1999 he formed The ‘’Natural Vibration’’ his backing band with which he is performing up today. Then, started his reggae artist professional career.
– Year 2001, saw him giving many concerts on different stages in Togo.
In 2004 he gave up for good teaching to mainly devote himself to music the greatest of his reason for living and essentially reggae.
