Never afraid to be the comic relief at the funeral, Tanjareen tells it like it IS! Why? Because she grew up on the mean streets of the Inglewood suburbs. Since her first school play at the age of 6, she knew she’d be an actress. Today, this Cali native is an all-around performing artist. Her film credits include: MISS MARCH (her bus scene was the most popular scene in the entire film), LOVE FOR SALE, JOHNSON FAMILY VACATION, HURRICANE IN THE ROSE GARDEN, NATIONAL LAMPOON’S CATTLE CALL, ONLY IN AMERICA & Russ Parr’s SOMETHING LIKE A BUSINESS. Her television credits include: CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, WITHOUT A TRACE, GIRLFRIENDS, ACCORDING TO JIM, THE SARAH SILVERMAN PROGRAM, HOWARD STERN, STRONG MEDICINE (recurring), THE PARKERS, WANDA AT LARGE, THE STEVE HARVEY SHOW, V.I.P, ARLISS, & CITY GUYS (recurring), and recently Bentley Kyle Evans’ pilot THE REV (4 eps.) plus multiple eps. of his latest sit-com FAMILY TIME (on BounceTV). Miss Martin also performs sketch comedy, she has boxed for PERFECT 10 MAGAZINE: MODEL BOXING, as well as for KNOCKOUTS, and she co-hosted a talk show called BLACK HOLLYWOOD WEEKLY WITH THE siSTARS and a magazine-style TV show called THE VEGAN VIXEN SHOW. On the runway, TJ has modeled for various designers in major shows like MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK and LA FASHION MARKET WEEK & in print for various publications & romance novel covers.
Holding a BA Degree in TV & Film Production from Cal State Univ. Northridge, this Delta Sigma Theta Sorority member equally enjoys working behind the camera as a producer. In fact, she broke into the bizz by interning at Paramount Pictures, and getting hired on as a Talent Coordinator for a few seasons.
