Joachim Landau studied film in Montreal and Paris.

His university studies allows him to start a Master research on the South African cinema during the period of apartheid in 2005 at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University, to obtain an MBA in audio-visual production in the Paris Graduate School of Management and complete a research doctorate in political science at the IEP of Bordeaux in the LAM, for which he obtained the highest distinction for a Phd in 2012.
Meanwhile, he continues to accumulate professional experience in co-founding a production association, ARKHAM, with which he produced and scripted a dozen short films, created an event to design experimental films called Film Music Mix, and joined the company Orange in which he produces and manages the barkers TV channels to promote programs and services on demand since 2007.
He is also the founding president of the alumni office and network of MBA audio-visual production of the Paris Graduate School of Management.
Voices [2012, 52 minutes] is the documentary that supports his thesis whose subject is the impact of democratization on a cultural sector, the case of South African cinema after apartheid.
