Paul Scherzer, Producer, Six Island Productions Paul’s award-winning features include the improv ensemble piece A WAKE (Dir: Penelope Buitenhuis; Cannes Perspective Canada, Best Picture Carmel), the romantic comedy SABAH (EP: Atom Egoyan; Dir: Ruba Nadda [Cairo Time]), and the festival darlings KHALED (Dir: Asghar Massombagi; TIFF FIPRESCI, Best Director Karlovy Vary) and NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPIN’ ON THE BED (Dir: Ross Weber; Best Director Vancouver International). In documentary Paul produced the feature docs GATE #5 (Dir: Simon El Habre; Dubai IFF Competition), MANUFACTURED LANDSCAPES (Dir: Jennifer Baichwal; Toronto IFF, Sundance Official Competition), LAND (Dir: Julian Pinder; Hot Docs, Official Competition Bratislava & Santa Barbara), and ANJAR (Dir: Noura Kevorkian; DocuDays International), along with the 6×60 eco-reality series Code Green for CBC and the 13×30 series Urban Nites for CTV/OLN. Prior to founding Six Island Paul worked for Telefilm and the National Film Board of Canada. He is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre established by Norman Jewison.
