Farida Amrouche

Farida Amrouche (en arabe : فريدة عمروش), est une comédienne algérienne.

Issue d'une famille d'artistes, elle est formée dans les années 60 au conservatoire algérien par Allel El Mouhib. Elle est ensuite comédienne au Théâtre National Algérien, dirigé alors par Mustapha Kateb, pendant trente ans, et en 1967 elle obtient le 1er Prix d'interprétation au Festival de Timgad. Elle jouera ensuite au cinéma et à la télévision sur les deux rives de la Méditerranée, en Algérie et en France. En 1978 elle épouse le réalisateur Farouk Mezouane.

Pendant la décennie noire en Algérie dans les année 90, elle est contrainte à l'exil, après l'assassinat de nombreuses artistes. Elle se réfugie en France ,ou elle effectue des petits boulots alimentaires, et intègre le Théâtre du Soleil dirigé par Ariane Mnouchkine et peut continuer ce qui l'anime par dessus tout, le théâtre.

Farida Amrouche (in Arabic: فريدة عمروش), is an Algerian actress.



Coming from a family of artists, she was trained in the 1960s at the Algerian conservatory by Allel El Mouhib. She then worked as an actress at the Algerian National Theater, then directed by Mustapha Kateb, for thirty years, and in 1967 she won the 1st Prize for Interpretation at the Timgad Festival. She then played in cinema and television on both sides of the Mediterranean, in Algeria and France. In 1978 she married the director Farouk Mezouane.



During the black decade in Algeria in the 1990s, she was forced into exile, after the assassination of many artists. She took refuge in France, where she did odd jobs to earn money, and joined the Théâtre du Soleil directed by Ariane Mnouchkine and was able to continue what inspired her above all, theater.
