Actrice, Mannequin, Réalisatrice, Scénariste et Productrice guadeloupéenne.

Lydia Darly est actrice lauréate de plusieurs prix et réalisatrice. Elle est née et a grandi en France d’ascendance guadeloupéenne. A l’adolescence, elle fait partie de plusieurs compagnies parisiennes de théâtre d’avant-garde et travaille comme actrice et mannequin en Italie. Elle a joué dans le film L’Exorciste : au commencement réalisé par Renny Harlin. Lydia a étudié à l’école d’acteurs Lee Strasberg Film and theatre Institute de New-York et a aussi été formée par le professeur et réalisateur Jordan Bayne. Lydia a été l’assistante réalisatrice de Bayne sur le film The Sea Is All I Know avec l’actrice Melissa Leo, lauréate d’un Golden Globe et d’un oscar.

Lydia a écrit, produit et joue comme actrice principale dans le court métrage Scratch. Elle a fait ses débuts de réalisatrice avec le court métrage primé The Way You Love qu’elle a également écrit. The Way You Love est actuellement présenté sur le circuit des festivals de film.

Lydia travaille actuellement sur son premier long métrage, un drame basé sur sa vie et l’entrée dans l’âge adulte dans la banlieue parisienne de Garges-les- Gonesses. Lydia Darly est fréquemment invitée en tant que conférencière et programmatrice lors de nombreux festivals de films pour soutenir les réalisateurs de films indépendants ainsi que les femmes dans le cinéma. Elle a reçu récemment le Prix du Queen World Film Festival Community pour son implication en tant que modérateur et conseillère pour ce festival.
Elle a lancé en 2018 le festival Nova Frontier Film Festival & Lab (New York), avec Billy Gerard FRANK.

French Actress, Director/Writer/Producer

Lydia Darly, was born and raised in the suburbs of Paris (France) called »banlieues ». She is originally from Guadeloupe. She was first discovered as an actress at Age 17 when she was invited to audition for Mathieu Kassovitz film Cafe au Lait thus began her journey and passion for theater and films. She was part of several experimental and avant-garde theater companies in Paris as a teenager, before her journey as aspiring actress and model took her to Rome, where she continued her passion for acting. She was featured in The Exorcist the beginning and acted in several TV series in Rome. Lydia love of American Cinema and desire to develop and perfect her craft took her to New York City. She studied at the Lee Strasberg,TVI actors studio, and with acting coach and director Jordan Bayne fostering a working/Mentor relationship with her. Lydia was Jordan’s assistant on the film,The Sea Is All I Know, featuring Academy Award Winner, Melissa Leo. Lydia is the writer, producer and lead Actress of the short Film SCRATCH. For her performance she won the Best Actress Award in 2012 and Best Director Award for THE WAY YOU LOVE in 2014 at the CinemAvennire Film Festival in Rome Italy.
