She won the Award for Best Actress, for her role as Tess from TESS directed by Meg Rickards (at Durban FilmFest 2016) and Award of Best actress 2010: klein libertas theatre schools.
Christia is a fun-loving, Passionate and Hard-working artist. she has been wanting to Act,sing,dance and write since she was a little girl and hasn’t looked back since.
After finishing her 1st and Advanced years at Act Cape Town in 2012, Christia has gone on to do Plays such as’Cardenio’ at Maynardville,’Vers Kabaret’ at Artscape,’Sonde met die biere’ and’Offer’ with Charles J.Fourie and’Land van Skedels’ with Nicola Hanekom (also being performed at this years KKNK).
She added to her list of short films by doing an Afrikaans TV series’Thomas@’ and also a small part in feature film’The Perfect wave’ (in cinemas now). At the beginning of 2014 she landed her first lead in a feature called’Girl from nowhere’ and shes not planning to stop there! She recently also landed the lead in a new afrikaans feature called’Hollywood in my Huis’, to be shot in April.
