Madoda Ncayiyana est acteur, auteur et metteur en scène pour le théâtre, la radio et le cinéma. En 2003 il tourne le court métrage, « The Sky in Her Eyes« , lauréat du prix Djibril Diop Mambety pour le meilleur court métrage remis la même année à Cannes. « My Secret Sky » est son premier long métrage.

Acclaimed South African director Madoda Ncayiyana’s extensive experience includes stints in theatre, television and radio, as well as producing and directing numerous documentary films. His previous feature, ?The Sky In Her Eyes’ (2003) won the Djibril Diop Mambety Prize for Best African Short Film at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival.

He has a strong background in television and has directed numerous documentaries and children’s series for SABC and helped develop the inaugural Takalane Sesame with the New York-based Sesame Workshop.

MY SECRET SKY (IZULU LAMI, 2008) is his directorial.
