Tomiwa travaille dans le cinéma, la télévision et le théâtre depuis qu'il est diplômé de la Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). Il a joué le tout premier Roméo noir au Globe, a joué dans le drame à succès de la BBC Merlin, et dans The Hour d'Abi Morgan, aux côtés de Dominic West et Ben Whishaw. Il a participé à de nombreuses émissions aux États-Unis, notamment Bates Motel, Lucifer et Elementary. Parmi les films, citons What Happened To Monday aux côtés de Noomi Rapace, The Dying Of The Light avec Nicolas Cage, et In The Cloud, un long métrage pilote pour Crackle. Il est la vedette de la trilogie The Journey dans la franchise de jeux vidéo de la FIFA.
En 2019, il est apparu dans A Discovery Of Witches de SkyOne et a joué dans une série de Translations au National Theatre, mis en scène par Ian Rickson, recevant des critiques élogieuses. On a pu le voir dans Botticelli In The Fire au Hampstead Theatre et The Capture pour la BBC, ainsi que dans la série télévisée Trying pour Apple TV+.

Tomiwa has been working in Film, TV and Theatre since he graduated from Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). He is star of the smash-hit The Journey trilogy in the FIFA video-game franchise.
