Né en 1976 en Tunisie, Saïd Kasmi-Mitterrand, est un producteur et réalisateur franco-tunisien. Il passe son enfance dans les salles de montage et sur les plateaux de télévision en compagnie de son père Frédéric Mitterrand.
En 2003, il fonde sa propre société de production de film documentaires et développe un important catalogue sur « l’art de vivre » pour le Groupe TF1, Canal Plus, Orange et TV5MONDE.
Il produit les documentaires Christian Dior, La France, Trump, le parrain de Manhattan, Conversation avec le président Giscard d’Estaing, et L’Enfance de François Mitterrand.
Mais c’est surtout la mémoire de son pays natal, perçue à travers le quotidien des minorités ou le regard occidental, qu’il veut capter. Après avoir consacré son premier film en 2015 à la communauté juive de Tunisie pour TV5MONDE et Histoire, il réalise La Tunisie de Jacques Perez en 2018, et La Tunisie d’Alexandre Roubtzoff en 2020.
Il prépare actuellement un film sur le président tunisien Beji Caïd Essebsi, décédé en 2019.
